Q. How do I enroll in the programs?
A. Click on the Enrollment Application link and follow the easy steps.

Q. Is the San Joaquin County Office of Education an accredited school?
A. The San Joaquin County Office of Education ROC/P is accredited by the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.

Q. Does SJCOE offer Financial Aid?
A. No, we do have affordable payment plans available to students. Please contact the Student Account Representative for more information.

Q. Do you accept previous hours from other Cosmetology schools?
A. Yes, We accept hours completed at other Cosmetology schools. Acceptance of transfer hours are evaluated on an individual basis. Please contact the Student Admissions for more information.  

Q. How much is need to start the programs?
A. The registration fee is due at the registration appointment. The program kit and books must be purchased before the start of the program.

Q. When I complete the program, will I receive my Cosmetology license?
A. You must pass the California State Board exam to obtain a license. Our instructors will prepare you with a "mock board" so you will be fully ready when taking the exam.

Q. What hours are the classes?
A. Career Academy of Cosmetology : Full time is Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and Part time is Monday - Thursday 3:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.

Q. Can I get a tour of the school?

A. Yes you can! Please contact Student Admissions to schedule an appointment.

Q. Do I need to have any prior experience?
A. No, all you need is to have a love for the beauty industry! We'll teach you everything else!!
